I need a licence for using the the Sefaira Revit Plugin. Where can I get this?
Hi Henning,
Sefaira comes with SketchUp Studio which you can purchase online here: https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing#for-professional
or through our inside sales team.

Hi Andrew,
I have a quick question about signing in Sefaira in Revit.
After clicking the icon of Sefaira in 'Add-Ins' in Revit, I got an error message:
Line: 2
Char: 32158
Error: Object doesn't support or method 'addEventListener'
Code: 0
URL: https://identity.trimble.com/trimble-identity/resources/js/lib/jquery.min.js?cb=20200915
Meanwhile, the 'fill in blank' of pop up window for filling in the Email address does not show up.
How could I fix this one?
Thanks a lot
Hi Alan,
WIthout all the details, that looks like a trimble id error which could potentially be solved with this patch: https://support.sefaira.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030523211-Revit-Plugin-Troubleshooting-July-2019
If you are still having trouble I recommend raising the issue in the forums where there are more people monitoring for support.
Hi Andrew,
I have a quick question about signing in Sefaira in Revit. I can not enter my email and password in the log-in interface. Because what I can see is only Trimble, Sign in to all things sketchup, privacy|Terms and Copyright. I can't find any place to enter my mail and password.
How could I fix this one?
Thanks a lot
Will Trimble have a Sephaira for Mac Big Sur eventually or is the future for Revit only?
Huaiying Fu - We now have an upgraded version of the revit plugin which should address this issue. Previously you needed to install patches to solve that issue.
Eric Simonsen - Big Sur is now supported.
Dear Andrew. i'm finding a problem with the Revit pluggin as it says that it is needed to update it but I cannot find the place to do it. I've removed and installed it again and the message keeps on in the menu. How can I solve this? Thanks a lot
Hi Antonio,
Thanks for reporting this. I opened a ticket for you. It's a known bug associated with the new version and we'll have a fix shortly.
Must I purchase Sefaira for Revit? I have it downloaded and installed but it says I dont have a license. Cant find where to get the Sefaira for Revit license
Hi Cameron,
If you have a Sefaira license then you should be able to access and login to all plugins. There is no additional cost or need for a specific Sefaira Revit license.
Note that a Studio trial started after April 7 no longer includes Sefaira access.
Will there be Sefaira for Revit 2022 soon?
Hi Rachel, it should be supported already.
If you are having issues with 2022 please log a support request.
I downloaded the plugin, made account, installed, and it appears in Revit. When I click it, it says "You do not have access to Sefaira at this time." How do I start the 30-day trial?
Hi, I have Revit 2022 on however when I try to download sefaire it comes up saying no supported version on my laptop. I don't have Revit open when i try to download sefaira do you know what the issue may be ?
Hi Oliver,
If you are having issues please log a help ticket here: https://help.sketchup.com/en/contact-support/technical-question
it's probably best to talk with someone about the issue. Thanks.
Hi @oliver,
Sefaira will typically throw that error if you have Revit installed in a directory other than the default installation folder. Could you confirm that you do infact have Revit installed in the default directory?
Hi Andrew!
I keep trying to install sefaira for Revit. I have Revit 2022, but it keeps telling me I need to install revit 2017 or higher. But I have 2022 downloaded. What do you recommend?
Hi Evan,
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Did you see Niraj's comment above? The best place to report problems is through a support ticket request here: https://help.sketchup.com/en/contact-support/technical-question or to post on the Sefaira forum (https://forums.sketchup.com/c/extending-sketchup/sefaira/48) and someone from support will get in touch.
Hi Andrew
Many years teaching using Sefaira and I'm experimenting a problem with the Sefaira addin for Revit since I formatted my laptop. It doesn't matter what file I open or if it is created since the beginning the addin fails in creating the views.
The message says: "Sorry about that, but an unanticipated error occurred.
If problems persist, share your issue.....
The geometry has issues which means that it cannot work with Sefaira...."
The thing is that I'm working with previously files that run perfectly with Sefaira. Even starting from the beginning and modelling a simple box it fails.
Any idea of what could happen?
Thanks a lot
Hi Antonio,
I'm sorry to hear about this. Have you installed the latest version of the plugin?
Could you please log a support ticket here: https://help.sketchup.com/en/contact-support/technical-question and someone from support will get in touch.
When you log a support ticket if you could maybe add a video of what you're experiencing and include your trimble id, operating system, Revit version and environment then it'll be easier for us to fix.
Thanks Andrew
Just found the problem. It is because the template I was using....It doesn't work with the template in Spanish.
Ok great - thanks for clarifying Antonio! We could have spent a while scratching our heads on that one!!
Good Day, The Revit 2023 student version I am using was not recognized by the installer. I have installed my Revit 2023 in a different partition drive; does this cause the problem? The same issue with my Sketchup Pro 2022 student version. Kindly advise. Thank you
Is the sefaira plug-in for revit still available? I've tried engaging SU reps for this, but they tell me to speak with revit since they are "the other guys" and revit had the plug-in removed from their site.
I'm having serious trouble figuring out if these two softwares are still linked and therefore how to purchase or trial it.
Hi Paulina,
Yes the plugin is available. Yes the products are linked. Yes it should work!
You will need a valid subscription to login.
To talk about purchasing you can submit a request here https://help.sketchup.com/en/contact-support/sales-question/form
If you're still having trouble getting a response let me know. Thanks.
Okay, thank you for the quick response. The SU chat reps won't answer any questions about sefaira if I mention revit for some reason.
Do you happen to know which level of sketchup sefaira is linked to? Our office already has a pro-level subscription, but after downloading the plug-in, it still won't work within revit.
It's a stand-alone subscription so it won't work with a standard pro subscription. I have emailed you.
