SketchUp .idf geometry viewer
This is a SketchUp plugin that lets you open the idf file exported from Sefaira and view the geometry as interpreted by EnergyPlus.
We use it to see whether geometry has been interpreted as expected through the Sefaira pipeline.
How to install
To install simply put the extension .rbz file into the extensions folder for SketchUp. Here's an example of the path in windows:
c:\Users\VBajic\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\SketchUp\Plugins\
It only works for versions of SketchUp that accept plugins. Reminder: SketchUp Make (which supports plugins) is not for commercial use.
Once it's added to the plugin folder it should be visible in SketchUp.
How to use
Download the idf file from your concept by using the "Export idf
Create a new project in SketchUp.
Open the "Draw idf Geometry" extension.
Select the idf file downloaded from Sefaira.
The geometry should then open. This should be an exact representation of the planes in the E+ idf geometry.
