For the parametric shading function in the Sefaira web application it is assumed that shading element depth is a proportion of window height, not a fixed distance in meters or feet. Therefore no units are specified in the data entry box.

Below are some examples of how the parametric shading is simulated on a sample building with windows of different sizes. The chosen parametric shading override ratio is 0.5, we therefore simulate a shading depth which is half of the window height in all cases.
